Settings include triggers and filters. The packets can be viewed in textual or graphic form. Supported protocols include IP, IPX, TCP, UDP, ICMP, ARP. RPMs (source and binary) are available from the homepage.

 ///  File Name: tm-20061111-0.tar.gz
Description:
The timemachine can record the entire contents of a high-volume network traffic stream in order to later "travel back in time" and inspect activity that has only become interesting in retrospect. Two examples of use are security forensics (determining just how an attacker compromised a given machine) and network trouble-shooting, such as inspecting the precursors to a fault after the fault. The timemachine is designed to work in Gigabit environments and to store several days of network traffic.

 ///  File Name: tnv_source_0.3.7.zip
Description:
TNV visualizes pcap data to graphically depict network packets, links, and ports for network traffic analysis to facilitate learning what constitutes 'normal' behavior, investigating security events, or network troubleshooting. It depicts network traffic by visualizing packets and links between local and remote hosts. It is intended for network traffic analysis to facilitate learning what constitutes 'normal' activity on a network, investigating packet details and security events, or for network troubleshooting. It can open saved libpcap (from tcpdump, windump, ethereal, etc.) formatted files or capture live packets on the wire, and export data in libpcap format or save the data to a MySQL database to enable the examination of trends over time.

 ///  File Name: trafdisp.tgz
Description:
Trafdisp is a sniffer which allows you to monitor the amount of incoming/outgoing KBps on a selected network interface(s) from at least one machine. It allows a network administrator to monitor the traffic that is generated by all the hosts on the network. The traffic is viewable in neat graphs that are generated by a PHP-enabled Web-server. The logs are stored in a MySQL table.

 ///  File Name: tvark-0.3.tar.gz
Description:
Tvark is a network monitoring tool with a GUI front-end and is tied to a MySQL database. The GUI provides a view of traffic activity that can be seen from the machine/interface that Tvark is run on. What the end user sees is a list of source nodes on the left, destination nodes on the right, and lines drawn, left to right, showing traffic flow. Tvark runs in realtime, meaning the traffic is shown roughly as it happens with a small delay between it and the display being created.

 ///  File Name: unicornscan-0.4.2.tar.gz
Description:
Unicornscan is a new information gathering and correlation engine built for and by members of the security research and testing communities. It was designed to provide an engine that is Scalable, Accurate, Flexible, and Efficient. It is released for the community to use under the terms of the GPL license. Unicornscan is an attempt at a User-land Distributed TCP/IP stack. It is intended to provide a researcher a superior interface for introducing a stimulus into and measuring a response from a TCP/IP enabled device or network.

 ///  File Name: wci.c
Description:
WCI for Windows is a simple ARP connection interceptor for switched networks and especially for SMB, based on ARP0c2.c. Features automated bridging and routing, ARP redirection/spoofing, automated connection interception for ALL SMB servers in the local subnet, and network cleanup on exit. On startup, WCI enumerates all resources in the Windows netwoking environment (SMB) and intercepts all possible connections (any2any). Requires the Packet Driver Developers Pack. Binaries available here.

 ///  File Name: xip-1.2.tar.gz
Description:
Xip is a "human ip stack". It acts like tcpdump(8) but with the possibility of changing packet values, creating packets and sending them. It displays packets ala "Steven's book". It has been designed in C language and in an object-like fashion. Everythingwas made up to increase speed. It is configurable and extensible by adding plugins. Currently, it supports (nearly) all the protocols described in "Stevens book". But there is some more work to do on it.
